Terms and Conditions for The Satay Skewer

Welcome to The Satay Skewer, a home-based/online Southeast Asian food business. By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services.


1. General


  • 1.1. These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our services, including ordering meals from our website https://thesatayskewer.com.au/order-here or other designated platforms for The Satay Skewer.


  • 1.2. The Satay Skewer reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.


  • 1.3. Our services are provided by The Satay Skewer, a home-based business operating in Sydney Australia. For inquiries, contact us at: info@thesatayskewer.com.au.


2. Ordering Process


  • 2.1. Menu and Ordering Deadline: We offer a weekly changing menu. Customers must place orders by 11:59 PM the day before the scheduled pickup day. Orders placed after this deadline may not be accepted.


  • 2.2. Pickup Hours: Orders are available for pickup between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM on the designated pickup day at 88 Casuarina Dr. Cherrybrook NSW. Customers must collect their orders within this time window.


  • 2.3. Order Confirmation: Upon placing an order, you will receive a confirmation via email or [other communication method, e.g., Text Message, WhatsApp]. It is your responsibility to ensure all order details (e.g., items, quantities, pickup time) are correct. Contact us immediately if there are errors.


  • 2.4. Minimum Order: There is no minimum order value unless otherwise specified on our website or platform.


  • 2.5. Availability: Menu items are subject to availability. If an item is unavailable, we will notify you and offer a substitute or refund at our discretion.


3. Payment


  • 3.1. Payment Methods: Payments must be made at the time of ordering through our secure payment gateway [Square]. We accept credit/debit cards only.


  • 3.2. Pricing: All prices are listed in AUD and include GST unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without notice.


  • 3.3. Non-Payment: Orders will not be processed until payment is received in full.


4. Pickup


  • 4.1. Pickup Location: Orders must be collected at 88 Casuarina Dr. Cherrybrook NSW during the designated pickup hours (5:00 PM to 8:00 PM).


  • 4.2. Late Pickup: Orders not collected by 8:00 PM on the pickup day may be forfeited without refund, as our food is prepared fresh to order and perishable.


  • 4.3. Identification: Customers may be required to provide order confirmation details (e.g., order number or name) at pickup to verify their identity.


  • 4.4. No Delivery: The Satay Skewer does not offer delivery services unless explicitly stated otherwise.


5. Cancellations, Refunds, and Modifications


  • 5.1. Cancellations: Orders may be canceled with a full refund if the request is received by 2:00 PM the day of the pickup day. Cancellations after this deadline are non-refundable due to food preparation commitments.


  • 5.2. Modifications: Order modifications (e.g., changing items or quantities) are subject to availability and must be requested by 2:00 PM the day of pickup. Contact us at sales@thesatayskewer.com.au to request changes.


  • 5.3. Refunds: Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5 business days for eligible cancellations or if we are unable to fulfill your order. No refunds will be provided for orders not picked up by 8:30 PM or for customer errors (e.g., incorrect order details).


  • 5.4. Non-Refundable Circumstances: No refunds or replacements will be offered for food that has been collected and consumed, unless there is a verifiable issue with food safety or quality (see Section 6).


6. Food Safety and Allergies


  • 6.1. Food Safety: The Satay Skewer adheres to local food safety regulations and maintains high hygiene standards. However, food is prepared in a home-based kitchen that may handle common allergens (e.g., peanuts, shellfish, gluten).


  • 6.2. Allergies and Dietary Restrictions: Customers are responsible for informing us of any allergies or dietary restrictions when placing an order. While we take precautions, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. The Satay Skewer is not liable for allergic reactions or adverse effects resulting from undisclosed allergies.


  • 6.3. Quality Issues: If you believe an order does not meet our quality standards (e.g., spoiled or incorrectly prepared food), contact us within 2 hours of pickup at admin@thesatayskewer.com.au with details and, if possible, photos. We may offer a replacement or refund at our discretion.


7. Customer Responsibilities


  • 7.1. Accurate Information: You must provide accurate and complete information (e.g., contact details, order preferences) when placing an order. The Satay Skewer is not responsible for issues arising from incorrect or incomplete information.


  • 7.2. Compliance: Customers must comply with these Terms and Conditions and any instructions provided at pickup (e.g., health and safety guidelines).


8. Limitation of Liability


  • 8.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Satay Skewer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill.


  • 8.2. Our total liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the order in question.


  • 8.3. The Satay Skewer is not responsible for delays or issues caused by events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, power outages, or supplier shortages.


9. Intellectual Property


  • 9.1. All content on our website, including menus, images, and recipes, is the property of The Satay Skewer or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without prior written permission.


10. Privacy
